Anne Eves
Anne Eves is standing for re-election in Leylands Ward. She has lived in the ward for 21 years with her husband.
Serving as a town and district councillor for four years, including as mayor of Burgess Hill for one year, Anne has worked very hard and put in countless hours.
She set up and runs the Burgess Hill Repair Cafe. With other Greens, she started the community wildflower verge scheme (Love BUG), organised the planting of nine street trees and participated in the planting of the Bachelors Farm community orchard. She has been running a bike donation scheme for Ukrainians to help them be independent, and set up the swift supporters' group to organise installation of nesting boxes for endangered birds.
She is particularly proud of having helped Clarion tenants to get their plumbing repaired or leaks fixed, sometimes after years of trying.
Her priorities if re-elected include two pedestrian crossings for Leylands Rd and a safe, off-road cycle path between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill.
