I have lived in Haywards Heath for 28 years, have taught in local schools and watched my children grow up here.
We need more people in local government who understand the current pressing issues - because they themselves are living through the problems as well. We also need voices who are free to vote with their conscience and not bound by party directives.
As a local resident I will always put our community's needs first and approach all issues from the perspective that our local facilities and environment needs to be preserved and upgraded - not demolished and empty promises given.
