I lived in Staplefield for 20 years before moving recently in Haywards Heath. I know first-hand how hard it is to find affordable rented accommodation. One key Green Party policy is to push for rent controls and ensure acceptable standards.
I've now nearly finished my teacher training at the local primary school where I have been working for the last 3 years and before that I worked at The Victory Inn, Staplefield for 9 years.
I want to make sure our Green Spaces are being protected in Ardingly, Balcombe, Staplefield & Turners Hill. Fracking is a major issue and we need to make sure we are standing up and using our voices to say "NO" to any fracking or other fossil fuel extraction in and around Balcombe!
Younger candidates, like me, can bring much-needed fresh perspectives to the council. I will listen to all voices from the ward and make sure they are heard in Mid Sussex District Council.
