“I live with my family by the South Downs. I grew up close to nature in Sweden and have always spent a lot of time there - in the forests and on the lakes - which nurtured my interest in wildlife.
Today, due to our agriculture, housing, and infrastructure developments we are left with very fragile, disjointed fragments of nature. Many species are on the edge of extinction. These fragments need saving, and more land must be handed back to nature to stop the eco-system collapse we are seeing. Mid Sussex District Council must begin to play its part in our regeneration.
I’m a big advocate for rewilding, and my favourite place to visit is the Knepp estate, where the evidence of success is clearly visible."
