Jenny Edwards

An Ardingly resident for 28 years, Jenny enjoys nothing more than walking through the beautiful Mid Sussex countryside with her faithful dog Teddy.

Until the pandemic struck, Jenny worked as a business coach, primarily working with small businesses. Latterly her coaching has focused on preparing for the ways a changing climate might affect businesses and their employees. Jenny has served on her local Parish Council, West Hoathly, for five years so is well aware of the key role that local government plays in balancing the needs of residents and protecting the beautiful environment of Mid Sussex.

Jenny is Vice Chair of the Finance Committee and also sits on the Asset & Highways Committee. Jenny was very active in the successful Balcombe Anti-Fracking campaign and continues to urge everyone to stay vigilant about further attempts to conduct fracking locally. With crucial climate talks coming up at Cop26 in Glasgow in November this year she is focused on environmental issues and working with several volunteer groups in the UK and mainland Europe to raise awareness of the scale of the challenge we face locally and globally. Renewable energy and sustainable agriculture are key parts of the solution and these are areas of particular interest for her.

Jenny is hard working and committed to preserving the traditional Mid Sussex way of life, so she would make a perfect local councillor. Unlike others, the Green Party councillors are not told what to do or say by their party, so she would provide a strong, independent voice speaking up for the people of Handcross, Pease Pottage, Ardingly and Balcombe.
