"The support I received in the 2019 election was amazing and showed that there is strong empathy with Green policies in Mid Sussex. Support for “business-as-usual” is evaporating. My standing again now in Hurstpierpoint lets you show just how much positive change is needed here.
I have lived in Hurstpierpoint for over 30 years and for most of my working life I was an educator of secondary students and loved every minute of the time I spent doing this. I believe that our young people deserve the chances in life that people in my generation have experienced. But I fear that some of these opportunities are being closed down by the scale of the environmental and social justice issues that we face. I hear my grandchildren and their friends discuss their worries about their future.
That’s why I joined the Green Party some time ago as we are the only political party committed to actually engaging with the realities of the energy crisis, the cost of living crisis, the climate crisis, the environmental crisis and we are working with realistic, sustainable policies.
I sincerely believe that having more Green Party councillors elected will have a significant effect on moving local issues forward. We seek a collaborative approach rather than being combative."
